Willy Kombe started guiding in Arabuko-Sokoke Forest and surrounding areas in 1993, where he has mainly been focusing particularly on birds, plants and coastal mammals.

Willy has also been involved in regular monitoring and research activities mainly on the endemics, rare and endangered species of organisms found in Arabuko-Sokoke Forest-Malindi in coastal Kenya.

Previously he has also been involved in research and forest species monitoring, where he has been working as field assistance particularly in projects on the Sokoke Scops Owl, Amani Sunbird, Sokoke Pipit and the Golden-rumped Elephant Shrew.

He is a keen birder and one of the best bird watching guides within the Kenyan coast. Willy mostly guide’s our coastal forest tours, coastal historical and wildlife excursions, as well as our sand dunes walking safari.
