Augustine was born and raised up in a rural environment where life was full of natural attractions. Like most of African-rural-boys, he grew up tending to his father’s cattle after school and during the school’s holiday.

He therefore got interested in wildlife at the age of about 12 when they we used to trap and catch some animals and birds when tending to the cattle with other boys. Those trapped creatures used to be kept as pets and hence his love for wild creatures grew more and more as he started to understand the world around him.
Augustine attended rural schools: from primary level to high school level and later moved to the city (Nairobi), where he enrolled in a wildlife college and attained a diploma in Tour Guiding. He has a wealth of knowledge after working for many leading companies in Kenya and Tanzania, as a driver guide for over 12 years. He has been a co-leader in many expedition tours for us here in East African and mostly he likes driver-guiding our bird watching tours.
